1This directory contains generic network interface device drivers that 2do not contain any hardware or architecture specific code. The files 3are: 4 5etharp.c 6 Implements the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) over 7 Ethernet. The code in this file should be used together with 8 Ethernet device drivers. Note that this module has been 9 largely made Ethernet independent so you should be able to 10 adapt this for other link layers (such as Firewire). 11 12ethernetif.c 13 An example of how an Ethernet device driver could look. This 14 file can be used as a "skeleton" for developing new Ethernet 15 network device drivers. It uses the etharp.c ARP code. 16 17loopif.c 18 A "loopback" network interface driver. It requires configuration 19 through the define LWIP_LOOPIF_MULTITHREADING (see opt.h). 20 21slipif.c 22 A generic implementation of the SLIP (Serial Line IP) 23 protocol. It requires a sio (serial I/O) module to work. 24 25ppp/ Point-to-Point Protocol stack 26 The PPP stack has been ported from ucip (http://ucip.sourceforge.net). 27 It matches quite well to pppd 2.3.1 (http://ppp.samba.org), although 28 compared to that, it has some modifications for embedded systems and 29 the source code has been reordered a bit.
